Basic Socks on two circular needles: (Dale Ann)
In this class we will be making socks with 2 circular needles. No sock making
experience is required. At the end of the four classes, you will have one
complete sock.

Basic Socks on DPN’s: (Sandy)
Learn to make socks the traditional way with double pointed needles. You will
have one completed sock by the time you have finished this class. There is
nothing better to wear on your feet than hand knit socks! Watch out they are
addictive to make!

Two Socks at a Time on One Circular Needle: (Laura)
No more lonely only socks in your drawer! When you knit both socks at the
same time your pair is finished at the same time, on your feet and out the door.
This class is most suitable for those who have already used the magic loop- but
not impossible for others. Not a first sock project.

Toe Up Socks: (Sarah)
Try Socks from the bottom up! You can tackle this whether you're familiar with
top-down sock construction or if this is your first sock! Learn "Judy's Magic
Cast On" and choose from a few different heel options. We will work from
Wendy Johnson's Socks From the Toe Up. The Toe-up technique is great for
getting the most out of every skein of sock yarn because you can just keep
knitting until you run out!

Fair Isle Socks: (Bobbie)
These pretty socks are so fun to make, you can hardly stop knitting! Learn the
fair isle knitting technique while making these Diamond Checkmate Socks in
either a warm or cool color combination. You must have made at least 1 pair of
socks before taking this class.

Stringing the Diamonds: (Laura)
Bring your base row diamonds and learn how to join them and work the
remaining rows. We will also show two edge finishes.

choice of 2 snowflake designs. Choose 2 yarns with high contrast to make your
new stranded knitting skills stand out.

Thrummed Mittens: (Laura)
Best Christmas present ever- a colorful pair of super warm thrummed mittens.
Use worsted weight wool and wool roving in solid or variegated colors. The
“thrums” are 3 inch lengths of roving which are knit into the mittens in a pattern.
The tails on the inside felt down with wear making a super soft lined mitten.
Called “Puffers” at Western ski resorts they are perfect for Ohio Too.

Mohair Mittens: (Bobbie)
These warm and fuzzy mittens are made holding two strands of mohair
together. You can use the same color, two different colors or stripe them just for
the fun of it. They are knit in the round on DPN’s, however you may use 2 circs
or magic loop if you prefer! DPN’s for the thumb are great.

Scrunchie Hand Warmers: (Bobbie)
These warmers feature a nice long cuff with scrunchie ruffles. They are made
using self patterning sock yarn and a pattern from the 101 Designer One Skein
Wonder book.

foraging in their knitting buddies stash baskets? A totally addictive way to use
sock yarn scraps to create a knitted work of art. Learn to make the diamonds for
the base row in this class.

This little sweater is a great beginning fair isle project. The sizes range from 1-3
years with buttons at the shoulder to make it easy to get on and off. It is knit

This is a fun way to make beautiful rugs. Rug punching is an exciting project
anyone would love to do. Needs no experience for a great new habit or hobby!
We have a variety of designs to choose from. Stop by to see some of Colleen’s

Christmas Stocking: (Sandy)
Get ready for next Christmas. Have you ever wanted to knit stockings for your
family like the one you had as a child? The time to start is now! Don’t wait until
Oct. to try and knit 6 or 7 by Dec. 24. There are 3 different patterns to pick from
with 4 charts each. The stockings are all the same you pick the chart. You will
learn a picot edge, intarsia color work and basic sock construction.

Beginning Crochet: (Sandy)
Learn the basics of crochet with this dishcloth/facecloth. (Depending on the
yarn you pick) A worsted weight cotton makes a dishcloth and a linen and you
have a wonderful facecloth.

Wrainbow Wrap: (Jill)
The two different sized squares of this wrap are worked from the center out with
self striping yarn. In addition to the squares, you will learn 3 needle bind off,

BEGINNING KNITTING: Classes are done privately for $10 an hour at your
convenience, please contact us to schedule a time or ask questions
Class Enrollment: We ask that you pre pay for your class. Please check your
calendar carefully before signing up. We will refund your fee if the class is
cancelled due to low enrollment. You may call in with a credit card, send a
check or stop in to pay for a class. You will not be considered enrolled until you
have paid. It is your responsibility to attend all classes in multi session class. No
refund will be given for missed classes.
Class Materials: You receive a 10% discount on class materials. We do require
that you purchase the materials at Yarn Cravin’ for the classes you are taking.
Each instructor has supplied a list of materials needed, as well as any
homework that needs to be completed before your class. Please bring basic
knitting supplies to class. (Scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape
measure, etc.)
Class Cancellation: We will do our best to reschedule classes cancelled due to
poor weather conditions. Please call ahead if the weather is questionable.
