Beginning Knitting – Sandy
Learn to knit while you make a very attractive scarf. You will learn to cast on, knit, purl and bind off all while learning to read a pattern.

Knitting 101 – Sandy
This class is great for the beginning knitter and more experienced alike, or maybe just as a refresher. In this class you will learn about weights of yarns, fiber contents, reading labels, patterns plus more. Also, some hands-on knitting for different cast-ons, bind-offs, -increases and decreases.

Continental Knitting – Leigh Ann
In this technique class you will learn to knit in the continental style, which is holding the yarn in your left hand. This technique can increase your speed while being easier on your wrist and arms. You will learn the fundamentals of Continental Knitting including casting on and binding off, knitting and purling, plus work with texture in garter stitch, stockinette, and slipped stitches. You will complete a beautiful and simple cowl project to show off your new learning! This class is for beginning knitters and any English-style knitter looking to add a new skill to your repertoire.

Two Color Knitting/Fair Isle – Leigh Ann
In this class you will learn the basics of two-color knitting so that you can add interest to your knitted projects or take on that Fair Isle Sweater you’ve been thinking about! You will learn different ways to hold the yarns and how to catch the strands behind your work. After some swatch work to learn about proper tension, you will knit a headband in the round, which is how most two-color knitting projects are written. This class is for knitters with some knitting experience who know basic knit and purl stitches.

Flip Top Mittens – Laurie
Perfect for the knitter on the go, these lace- cuffed mittens have a fold-over flap. Keep the tops closed for extra warmth or flip them open for finger mobility.

Have you admired entrelac but been afraid to try it? This technique looks more difficult than it is. Self striping yarn makes a beautiful fabric that looks like woven knitted strips but is actually knitted in one piece. This scarf is the perfect introduction to entrelac and great for the comfortable beginner.

Socks on 2 Circs – Dale Ann
Have you always admired the beautiful sock yarn we have but thought you couldn’t possibly make socks? Well, this class is for you! If you can knit and purl, you can make socks. Learn how to in this class using 2 circular needles. Socks are fun to make and wonderful to wear. This class meets 3 times with varying times so put them in your calendar carefully.

Knit from the toe up these cute little fox design socks are a great project for the intermediate level knitter. Learn to knit with up to 3 colors at a time. Prior sock and two color knitting are required to take this class.

Mitered Square Sock Blanket
Learn to make mitered squares to createthis beautiful, one of a kind blanket. The class is free but you must register. You will get a list of supplies when you register.

Have you seen the Beekeeper’s Quilt on Ravelry? Learn how to knit the hexipuffs for this afghan. The pattern is $5.50 on Ravelry and should be purchased before the class. Registration is required and a supply list will be given at that time.

Here is how we handle Knit-a-longs:
First you must register.
Then you purchase your supplies at YC. We will explain the project during the first day of the knit-a-long. We will work together on the project and help with questions that may arise as we knit together.

Class Enrollment:
All classes must be paid for in advance. Class sizes are limited and to secure your spot it must be paid for. It is your responsibility to attend all classes in a multi session class. No refund will be given for missed classes. We will refund your fee if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Class Materials:
We require that all class materials be purchased at Yarn Cravin’. You will receive a 10% discount on class supplies. Each teacher has supplied a list of required materials as well as any homework needed to be completed before your class. Please bring basic knitting supplies to all classes. (scissors, stitch markers, chibi, tape measure, etc.)
