*We require that you purchase the materials at Yarn Cravin’ for the classes you are taking. Please purchase your yarns before the day of your class. Some classes have homework.
Learn to knit while making a sampler scarf. You will learn to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, how to follow a pattern and bind off. This class meets 4 times for an hour each time.

Continental Knitting- Leigh Ann
In this technique class you will learn to knit in the continental style, which is holding the yarn in your left hand. This technique can increase your speed while being easier on your wrist and arms. You will learn the fundamentals of Continental Knitting including casting on and binding off, knitting and purling, plus work with texture in garter stitch, stockinette, and slipped stitches. You will complete a beautiful and simple cowl project to show off your new learning! This class is for beginning knitters and any English-style knitter looking to add a new skill to your repertoire.

Two Color Knitting/Fair Isle-Leigh Ann
In this class you will learn the basics of two-color knitting so that you can add interest to your knitted projects or take on that Fair Isle Sweater you’ve been thinking about! You will learn different ways to hold the yarns and how to catch the strands behind your work. After some swatch work to learn about proper tension, you will knit a headband in the round, which is how most two-color knitting projects are written. This class is for knitters with some knitting experience who know basic knit and purl stitches.

Knitting Basics 101-Sandy
This class is great for newer knitters and those that need a little refresher course. There will be some hands on lessons with different cast on methods, bind offs, as well as a variety of increases and decreases. We will talk about fibers, abbreviations, yarn weights, care and more.

Now, the knitting is finished, let us learn how to put the pieces together. Be sure to complete your swatches before class! We will practice a variety of seams during class.

Socks on Straight-Sandy
Have you always wanted to knit socks? Hate double points? Magic loop and 2 circs confusing? Learn how to knit socks on straight needles. Yes, there is a seam, but you can’t feel it. It is a decorative, you know, a design feature!
Sat. Jan. 31 and Feb. 14; 12-2

In this class we will make warm and fuzzy mittens holding a double strand of mohair. We will be knitting in the round in rib and stockinette stitch. Two different increases are also used.
Tues. March 3 & 10; 6-8

Would you like to learn to make a beautiful rug? Learn to rug punch using wool yarn. Your class fee includes a hand drawn design on a wooden frame. Come in to choose your design at least 2 weeks prior to class.

Class Enrollment: We ask that you prepay for your class. Please check your calendar carefully before signing up. We will refund your fee if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment. You may call in with a credit card, send a check or stop in to pay for a class. You will not be considered enrolled until you have paid. It is your responsibility to attend all classes in multi session class. No refund will be given for missed classes.
Class Materials: You receive a 10% discount on class materials. We do require that you purchase the materials at Yarn Cravin’ for the classes you are taking. Each instructor has supplied a list of materials needed, as well as any homework that needs to be completed before your class. Please bring basic knitting supplies to class. (Scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, etc.)
Class Cancellation: We will do our best to reschedule classes cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Please call ahead if the weather is questionable.
